The lobby of Simple Kaffa in Hotel V, Taipei City - 台灣最強咖啡大師
繼續努力在今年結束前多講講臺北的咖啡店啊～
Simple Kaffa is owned and run by the current best barista in Taiwan,
Tse-Lin (Berg) Wu, the two time Taiwan Barista Champion who will represent Taiwan again in the World Barista Championship in Seattle in 2015. Simple enough, the coffee and desert are phenomenal, and there is some signature drink prototype as "beer-coffee (beerffee?)", basically chilled carbonated coffee that really captures the real idea that any coffee stout is trying to mimic. The place will be the best place to fulfill your specialty coffee-seeking vibe if you ever come to this busy shopping/entertaining East side of Taipei City. There is no way to go wrong on any single origin coffee here. But there is one thing you could already get wrong: Hotel V is not a hotel, it is just called "Hotel V" for reasons I don't know and can't appreciate.
話說忠孝東路三四段，五光十色的東區曾經很難找到精品咖啡店，
隨著時代進步，
這兩年突然多了幾間精品咖啡店，
不過要說到最有名的，
應該就是為在Hotel V裡面的 The lobby of Simple Kaffa
除了因為它所在地點的詭異程度會令人印象深刻以外，
（對，這裡跟Hotel一點關係都沒有）
另一個就是老闆是這兩年連續拿下台灣咖啡大師冠軍，
代表台灣參加世界吧檯手大賽(WBC)的真強者，
而且今年的比賽拿下第七名成績，
是台灣有史以來最高紀錄。
(當然，台灣今年在咖啡比賽中真是得獎連連，科科)
其實去年第一次去很不好，
剛好遇到很糟的服務，
不過這次回台灣去了數次服務都很好，
所以就當作第一次是運氣不好吧。
咖啡本身就不用多說了，
總之單價不是最低但是水準沒有話說，
雖然PTT的咖啡版會叫人多描述咖啡風味，
不過我每次都點不同的，
而且我反而比較記得難喝的味道所以就沒什麼特別的印象了，
總之要出錯的機會不高，
反正每次去老闆都在所以要客訴也很簡單。
(對顧客/裁判的態度感覺是WBC的記分重點的樣子)
另一個重點是，
大概因為是參賽選手的店，
所以有特殊飲料：做成類似啤酒口感有濃鬱泡沫的啤兒咖啡，
有黑跟白兩種，
分別由不同程度烘焙與風味的咖啡做成的冰涼碳酸飲料，
非常有趣而且在超熱夏天很適合飲用，
不過個人還是喜歡Front的那種由nitrous擠壓出來沒那麼多汽泡口感的 cold brew
(另一訣竅就是用莓果強大的Ethiopia豆)
總之在東區終於也有這樣一間很好的咖啡店了，
雖然地點詭異但真希望能一直開著。
當然，不用說這裡的開店時間也是中午到晚上，
不過自從鼎泰豐忠孝店關了之後，
根本就沒有一大早去東區的理由啦～～
