Inside the stone wall coffee (apprantly not an official name)
The Stone Wall coffee, or Shi-Chiang coffee (neither names is the official name, I guess), is a specialty coffee shop opened on the 2nd floor of a historical building, called Inside the Stone Wall, in Dan-Shiu.
Panama Gesha,
Inside the Stone Wall is a traditional Taiwanese courtyard house,
which itself is a good tourism spot to visit around Dan-Shiu.
The second floor was renovated into the coffee shop.
In collaboration with the other coffee shop in Taipei, Wen-Shian coffee,
the Stone Wall served their house-roasted very good selection of specialty coffee from crops allover the world.
The Panama Gesha I had was a cup of good citric mandarin taste,
exactly as what you should expect from Gesha.
And I suggest that you should order as much Gesha as possible before Japanese bought all.
As the only customer to this isolated place during my visit,
I was kind a of a intruder into the original quietness.
Soon I merged into the whole peacefulness and enjoyed this rainy afternoon,
a kind of peacefulness that you can't find in any coffee shop in the city.
This is a place worth more than an hour of driving through the notorious bad traffic from Taipei city, for both the view, the building, the isolated environment in a rainy day, and of course, the great coffee.
